MUA LIP Sticks & Lip Boom From Superdrug RRP £1 & £3

MUA Lipsticks are cheap and do the job, they are not the longest wearing you will find, but for the money they do come in a good range of colors and each one has a little pot of colored gloss attached to the bottom, there are 16 shades to choose from, think about it, if you buy all you pay £16 and they are as good as any other lipstick out there and you may only get 3 for that price from any other brand.

The lip boom is the same as the lipstick, it comes with the pot as well, but it also has a lipgloss that is pure glitter, now personally I like the effect but I don't like the feel as it made my lips feel like sandpaper. But when you think of the effect which is more of a matte glitter than normal lipglosses would give you its worth the money to purchase. I would give them about 3 hours before you start to loose color but for £1 your not going to break the bank to replace it.

MUA Pro-Base Fixing Mist PPR £3 from Superdrug

So to be completely honest I have never used a fixing mist or all nighter spray to compare this to.

However I will still give my opinion on the item, and for only £3 it is worth a try.

So the main thing is that it does work, it is said to work against heat, humidity, cold and wind and so far I have found that it does work. Its supposed to last up to 8 hours, I would say that its more like 4-6 depending on what you are doing, if your going for a night out on the dance floor then its more like 4. however it does help and it keeps my foundation and eye make up on longer.

the only really bad point is the spay itself, you have to shake and spray in a horizontal motion, however either its to thin to do this or the nozel used is not great as it comes out in large droplets and takes quite a while to dry, these large droplets to not make your make up go anywhere, its just inconvenient as you expect a nice mist that covers evenly. with this you have to use more than expected to get a good cover.

so overall its a good product for the price, just be wary of the way it sprays, for all I know I may have a slight dud, but until I run out I'm going to have to assume they are all like this. Even with this one bad point I will be re-purchasing once I run out.

MUA BB all in one beauty balm in light £4 from superdrug

As one who is a lover of MUA, I was very much dissapointed by this BB cream.

It is a very thick and slightly oily consistency, when put on face it takes quite a lot of product. I have tried it on its own and under foundation and each time it wears off, leaving smears or patches on your face, I have even tried setting it with powder.

I think it would work as a concealer for small patches, but it is not good for all over, as MUA is normally excelent value for money, this product is not in that category.  A big let down for me.

For the price MUA products never fail to please, this little varnish is called nail quake in silver, once painted over another color it creates a cracking effect. If you think this effect will cost the earth or can only be done by a professional then think again.

This is very very simple to use and at only £2 is amazingly cheap, I put a metalic blue underneath to make the cracking stand out and I love the effect.

The nail varnish drys very quickly, just a note it needs to be thickly applied to get a really good effect otherwise it creates very thin lines that look  more like a bad paint job than the effect you may be looking for.

The instruction are literally two lines and you can not go wrong, to do all nails and even wait for a clear coat to dry it took me maybe 15 minutes at the most. Perfect if you are looking for salon style nails but don't have the time or money. I'm very pleased with this product.

MUA Magnetic nails are really easy to use, I was expecting it to be some hard trick to get to the desired effect, but it wasn't. It's £3 a pot and there were about 7 different colors to choose from.

The color itself without the effect is really pretty, the color I choose is regent street and I picked it because its a beautiful metalic purple. to get the wave effect all you have to do is to paint a coat on your nails and wait for it to dry, paint a second coat and then hold a magnet (included in the lid) over the nail for about 10 second and voila to job is done.

The nail varnish itself is very hard wareing, I have had no chips or scratches on the polish. I have not used a top coat, but i imagine if it is this durable without a clear coat, you may never get it off with a top coat! The varnish dried really quickly and was easy to apply, its just the right consistancy. It took no more than 10 minutes to do two coats and create the effect.

I have fallen in love with the effect and the ease, when you consider other nail varnishes that are a lot more expensive and are not as interesting I think that you really get very good value for your money, plus with the added durability, you get a great effect for next to no effort, very little time and cheap.
