When I wen to the John Lewis even I had a few goodies in my bag, All of which were stunning in their own right.

My favorite things where the teddy bear, that has quite a pudgey middle area but is super cute and very soft. I also Love the tin which had a Panettone inside - Im not a fan of it, but that just my personal taste. The tin however is simply stunning as is the little chocolate lolly!

There were also a range of decoration such as a little fur tree candle, silver and white tree ornaments, a pine cone and my other favorite item, the twig heart that is decorated in siver and white.

Since going I have spent a lot of time looking at the Christmas catalogue, and have found a number of things I have fallen in love with. A Michael Kors Watch that my friend Laura desperately wants, and I can't say that I blame her. A beutiful little Glitter raindeer decoration and a Decoupage cherry blossom and chopstick bauble, as well as a eye turning Mint Velvet lace ruffle dress to a set of Aurora Liqueur glasses. That is just the start of it, there are so many things that I would love to have and I feel that this year John Lewis has captured me and what I want, my tastes are reflected in so many things, I just need the money to make my taste come to life.

LK Bennett - Jazz Sequin Evening dress in Gold £325
LK Bennett - Louise Lace Sleeves dress in Black £245
Reiss - Tali Sparkle dress in Sage Green £189
River Island - Dusty Pink & Grey Fish Tale dress £120
River Island - Cream Belted dress in White £60

I have looked at these dresses with some lust and while the last one is quite a reasonable price the rest are beyond my means, but this does not mean that I can not dream of them. Ive never been a huge dress person, but in later years my tastes have started to change.

The first one is from LK Bennett and is also available in black, but whereas I would normally prefer the black on this occasion the gold one is the winner for me, I can just see it perfectly at a cocktail function or party especally around the Christmas period, not too revealing but form fitting and a beautiful addition to my imaginary wardrobe!

My next choice is also a LK Bennett dress, this one is more for black tie events or even *god forbid* funerals, its simple and classic but the neck line and lace sleeves give this a bit more of a fresh fell to  a little black dress number.

My third dress is from Reiss and for some random reason I love it, I normally hate green and also I normally hate abstract lines, but for some reason on this dress it just adds to it. The angular lines and cuts on the hem makes this a dress that I could imagine wearing to a friends party or even to events such as christening and wedding as it is unconventional and yet simple and stunning.

I love this fish tale dusky pink number from River Island, it reminds me of 1920s style and almost reminscent of a flapper dress without the irritating fringe and tassles. I think it would cover a multitude of sins on the legs and look great at pretty much any occasion. I could see it teamed with a white shrug and some cream mary jane shoes, and for me I like the fact that I can picture a whole outfit.

Finally another River Island choice and this is a White dress with a diamante belt, that helps to break up the dress and draw the eye. I would love to own a white dress, however as I am an accident prone boob (sorry there is no other description for me) it would be dirty or ruined in a matter of minutes. I always look for a simple white dress that could rival the little black dress and I think this one is classy and simple, and the long arms make it elegant and yet not too plain.

If I had the money (and the body) I feel that I would have a stylish wardrobe, alas for now, I shall put away my dreams for more important things, such as food.

So I already mentioned the amazing John Lewis Press event, and this is part of the same event but I have decided to dedicate it on its own. I have to say that I loved the shoes, for anyone who reads this and knows me they know that I love glitter and shoes, so when those two things combine they make my day!

The fashion choices were stunning and most of all I loved the Black figure hugging dress with silver glitter (yes glitter again) over bust and shoulder area. I also really liked the pink, silk almost wrap around style dress that was elegant and beautiful.

The best bit was certain items in hanging balls (I only have a pic of a shoe) that just added a real element of fun to the whole section. It was really nice that the mannequins were placed so that I could walk right the way around them and get a good overall view.

Once again John Lewis has not disappointed, and If I was thin enough to wear these clothes then I would break out my credit card and buy them tomorrow.

On Thursday I was invited to my first ever pr show thanks to a very good friend. What can I say about the whole event apart from the fact that it was amazing, a fantastic showcase of what John Lewis has to offer. I would highly recommend getting a catalogue or logging onto the website and emerging yourself in the spectacular choices offered.

It was all about Christmas stock, I am a true lover of Christmas and was very excited to be part of this event. There were also members of each department on hand to talk about anything that you wanted including YSL and NARS. I am a complete stickler for homeware and spent a lot of my evening looking at the beautifully decorated trees and the layouts of throws and pillows. A toy section, Including a new furby, was also featured.

Everyone at the event was helpful, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was just electric and everyone I met from Directors to bloggers were lovely. If I had infinite riches I would probably spend all my money in John Lewis.

I had my first try of Estee Lauder sensuous nude perfume, which I had a sample of and have used a lot since, the initial smell is very much like talcum powder to me but after it settles I can smell hints of blueberry and sherbert. I also have a few samples to try including YSL's Touche Eclat foundation, but will be reviewing them at a later date. The new Andy Warhole collection for NARS make up range is simply stunning, the design is sleek and the quotes on the mirrors are inspirational.

The homeware is very modern and Chic and the lack of bright colors is perfect for me, There were very traditional options from pinecone candles to silver star ornaments and on the other end of the scale, very oriental style choices of little dolls and cherry blossoms.

John Lewis is filled with items that are beautiful and stunning and give me inspiration to create a better looking home, I will definitely spend even more hours looking around the next time I am in Cardiff.

Well this is a first for me as I never ever thought I would run a blog until my friend suggested it. I decided that for my first post I would talk about Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. This is due to the fact that I spent 4 hours there today.

Cardiff, for a small town girl like me, is big and brash and I pretty much love it. I went with my friend Laura for some good old fashioned window shopping, as neither of us currently have the funds to do anything more extravagant. John Lewis and Debenhams makeup departments kept us busy for the majority of the time. I learned the use of highlighters and actually got to see the Urban Decay Naked & Vice Pallets first hand.

Cardiff is rife with experienced gurus, my friend included, and the manic shoppers of Primark brought out my primal self. Christmas decorations were already in some shops despite the fact that it's October, but nothing can take away the atmosphere that Cardiff offers, it's warm and vibrant but still has the hustle and bustle you expect of a City, but to me, It just feels like home.

Whats more, when your used to the same old shops in Towns such as Newport and Cwmbran, Cardiff can be a real breath of fresh air. Change of scenery is always a must.

Laura treated me to a Starbucks Spiced Pumkin Latte, I am now in love. I need, need, need another one before they go until next year. I don't like these limited edition items, weather it's a drink or a makeup, because I am bound to find something I love and then destined to have to wait another 11 months until I can enjoy them again.
