On days when I'm going to work, or shopping, I don't have and extensive make up routine, I wear 3 things and these three simple items can make me feel good about the way I look. They can make me feel happier about my outfit and more pretty. It's pretty amazing when a few simple things can make you feel a lot better about yourself. I would also recommend this routine if you are short on time or not a big make up fan, but want to do something small to you appearance.

I use 3 products, the first one is Garnier BB cream, it's a moisturiser with some foundation in it, It is also a mild sun scream SPF15. It does not cover heavy blemishes, but for evening out skin tone and covering a little spots it really does the trick, as it is a moisturiser it is good for your skin, especially on these cold winter days. For £7.50 and combining 3 into one its a good price and lasts me about two/three months.

I also use some Mascara, I just use MUA in black, Its cheap, lasts a while and gives good coverage, for £2 its a good price for everyday wear. My eyelashes have clear ends and without mascara they look stubby and like nothing, but with it really brings them out and makes my eyes pop. I find that even just adding Mascara some days brings out my confidence, and my eyes.

Finally I use some lipgloss, I may use some collection 2000, with some glitter in it or I may just use a clear gloss, it really depends on my mood. Adding a sheen to the lips makes them look bigger and stand out a bit more.

Doing this takes me no more than 3 minutes, Its simple, natural, quick yet effective for changing up your look and honestly it makes me feel like a whole new person for very little effort.

Do you have any simple tricks or make up items that you use that makes you feel great?

My Pointsetta, Munchies for the girls night in, Bright lips for the impromptu night out, Pornstar Cocktail choice, My hair being perfect when I have done nothing too it but it had to go in a pony, Why I love make up - It covers circles and bad skin, A touch of craft work by making peppermint creams and hand made marzipan roses and finally all the lovely presents and not a single one is mine!

I have had a very busy week since the last post, I have been for a meal with family and at a church, Watched a Choir, cleaned, Worked, finished shopping for Christmas, cleaned some more, wrapped more presents, Made a few presents, Put my car in a Garage, cleaned yet again! met up with friends, done a secret santa (first one ever), had a girls night in that turned to a girls night out and killed my back in the process and finally cleaned and then spent all of sunday watching fantasy movies, hoping to watch some Christmas movies this week!

A small selection of items I have pinned on Pinterest. I only go on to the Pinterest site about two/three a week as I literally loose all sense of time when I am on it and 2 hours feel like 10 minutes, I have actually been banned from it when my husband is home.

On Thursday I was invited to my first ever pr show thanks to a very good friend. What can I say about the whole event apart from the fact that it was amazing, a fantastic showcase of what John Lewis has to offer. I would highly recommend getting a catalogue or logging onto the website and emerging yourself in the spectacular choices offered.

It was all about Christmas stock, I am a true lover of Christmas and was very excited to be part of this event. There were also members of each department on hand to talk about anything that you wanted including YSL and NARS. I am a complete stickler for homeware and spent a lot of my evening looking at the beautifully decorated trees and the layouts of throws and pillows. A toy section, Including a new furby, was also featured.

Everyone at the event was helpful, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was just electric and everyone I met from Directors to bloggers were lovely. If I had infinite riches I would probably spend all my money in John Lewis.

I had my first try of Estee Lauder sensuous nude perfume, which I had a sample of and have used a lot since, the initial smell is very much like talcum powder to me but after it settles I can smell hints of blueberry and sherbert. I also have a few samples to try including YSL's Touche Eclat foundation, but will be reviewing them at a later date. The new Andy Warhole collection for NARS make up range is simply stunning, the design is sleek and the quotes on the mirrors are inspirational.

The homeware is very modern and Chic and the lack of bright colors is perfect for me, There were very traditional options from pinecone candles to silver star ornaments and on the other end of the scale, very oriental style choices of little dolls and cherry blossoms.

John Lewis is filled with items that are beautiful and stunning and give me inspiration to create a better looking home, I will definitely spend even more hours looking around the next time I am in Cardiff.

1. A pair of skin colored tights with a almost floral motif and gold spackles.
2. A pair of black sparkly peep toe stilettoes.
3. Beautiful Eye make up, that follows the sparkly theme of the shoes in a glitter purple & blue.
4. 1993 Dior bracelet, I adore this and would kill to own it.
5. Pierre Balmain, 1950 style dress, with feathers beads and in a stunning color.
6. Ciate nail varnish in either the black or while, it has deep sparkles.
7. 2010 Prada bag, Its a see-through black bag that is just adorable.
8. Topshop, bootshoe stilettoes with swirl pattern and pink glitter frosting.

Okay, so above is a set of pictures of things that if I had enough money I would buy. To be truthful, I'm not exactly fashion savvy, but It doesn't stop me finding things that I can drool over. Lack of technical terms and colors aside, I put in as much as I could about the above Items that I will have dreams about. I love to look at fashion, and I am partial to more vintage items at the moment, especially dresses, however when it comes to shoes I generally like modern.

As you can tell I like shiny and glittery things, If I was ever reincarnated I do believe I would come back as a magpie! I'm not personally into lots of color, hence why my choices are more safe, blacks, whites, beige. When I like color I like it on my eyes or on my shoes even in a handbag. If you looked in my wardrobe you would mostly find this theme, very few bright tops & lots of sparkles.

Well this is a first for me as I never ever thought I would run a blog until my friend suggested it. I decided that for my first post I would talk about Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. This is due to the fact that I spent 4 hours there today.

Cardiff, for a small town girl like me, is big and brash and I pretty much love it. I went with my friend Laura for some good old fashioned window shopping, as neither of us currently have the funds to do anything more extravagant. John Lewis and Debenhams makeup departments kept us busy for the majority of the time. I learned the use of highlighters and actually got to see the Urban Decay Naked & Vice Pallets first hand.

Cardiff is rife with experienced gurus, my friend included, and the manic shoppers of Primark brought out my primal self. Christmas decorations were already in some shops despite the fact that it's October, but nothing can take away the atmosphere that Cardiff offers, it's warm and vibrant but still has the hustle and bustle you expect of a City, but to me, It just feels like home.

Whats more, when your used to the same old shops in Towns such as Newport and Cwmbran, Cardiff can be a real breath of fresh air. Change of scenery is always a must.

Laura treated me to a Starbucks Spiced Pumkin Latte, I am now in love. I need, need, need another one before they go until next year. I don't like these limited edition items, weather it's a drink or a makeup, because I am bound to find something I love and then destined to have to wait another 11 months until I can enjoy them again.
